Student Scholarships Available

High school seniors must take advantage of these opportunities to earn free money!

There are a few scholarships you can apply for.

Advantage Credit Union's Marilyn Archer Scholarship

We will be awarding one (1) thousand dollar ($1,000.00) scholarship to a graduating high school senior and it's based on student's scholastic and extracurricular activities. The applicant must be a member, or the son or daughter of a member of Advantage Credit Union, Inc. So, if you live, work, go to school or church in Richland County and are not yet banking with us, all you need to do is stop in to open a free savings account. You can print an application or pick one up in our lobby to submit to us by April 30, 2013. We require the following in order to be eligible:

• High School Transcript
• List of extracurricular activities (clubs, sports, etc.)
• Statement of desire - What are your future educational goals or dreams and how will this scholarship assist you in achieving them?
• 500 word essay in response to the following: What is a credit union and what advantages can a credit union offer me?
  

North Central Chapter of the Ohio Credit Union League Scholarships

The North Central Chapter of the Ohio Credit Union League has announced it will be awarding one (1) thousand dollar ($1,000.00) scholarship and two (2) seven hundred fifty dollar ($750.00) scholarships to students in our chapter area. To qualify for the scholarship, an applicant must be at least a high school senior, and in pursuit of post-secondary education of any kind, including professional, vocational, and academic studies not limited to colleges and universities. Plus, when you apply for this scholarship, you have the chance to win even more money! The North Central Chapter will choose one winner/applicant to send on to the state-level. The Ohio Credit Union Foundation will then award five (5) three thousand dollar ($3,000.00) scholarships in April 2013.

Ohio Credit Union Foundation $5,000 Video Scholarship

The Ohio Credit Union Foundation (OCUF) is offering Ohio undergraduate credit union members the oppourtunity to apply for a $5,000 video-based scholarship by creating a 60-second-to-2 1/2 minute in length video answering the scholarship question by spotlighting one or more of the seven credit union cooperative principles.
